CHKO Český ráj
The Bohemian Paradise is situated nearly 30 kilometres to the northeast of Mladá Boleslav. This romantic area, situated in the middle part of the Jizera river,abounds in a variety of nature beauties and rich historical buildings: castles, chateaux and folk architecture.
The Bohemian Paradise offers a wide range of possibilities for the active tourist.There is a large network of marked trails for hiking as well as paths for biking. The “rock towns” are the real paradise for the lovers of climbing. In the Bohemian Paradise there are also places suitable for paragliding.
The most visiting castles are Kost, Frýdštejn, Valdštejn, the castle Hrubá skála, Hrubý Rohozec, hunting castle Humprecht or Sychrov.
MÁCHA LAKE
is a holiday resort. There are a many cycling routes, and you can practise sports there such as beach volleyball, swimming, windsurfing etc. It lies 30km far from Mladá Boleslav.
Bezděz
one of the most famous classical gothic castle in the Czech republic.This castle was founded by Přemysl Otakar II. 1264-78. After the war on the White hill (1620), the castle became the property of Albrecht from Valdštejn and then used as a monastery. Since the middle of the 19th century significant restoration projects have taken place in Bezděz, which have allowed the castle to survive until the present day as an excellent example of early gothic architecture.
It lies 20 km far from Mladá Boleslav.

this gothic castle belongs amongst those in the Czech republic still in good repair. The original, modern castle was rebuilt by Petr from Vartemberka after 1370. It consists of Biberstein Palace, the black kitchen, Lobkovic house, Vartemberk Palace, Schellenberg Palace and Tower Palace. The castle is the property of the Kinsky family. Within the castle there is also an exibition of historical guns.

Ještěd
in its original form it was a wooden lookout- tower. The tower is in the shape of a rotating cone is 93m tall, designed by the architect Karel Hubáček. Nowadays it is used as a hotel, restaurant, tv-transmitter and also for its scenic views. If the weather is good it is possible to see Prague. The peak is reached by cable car, chairlift or walking; it is also accessible by car or motorcycle.
In winter there is the SKI CENTRE where you can try downhill skiing, cross country skiing and snowboarding. Its surroundings contains many ski resorts
