This romantic area, situated in the middle part of the Jizera river,abounds in a variety of nature beauties and rich historical buildings: castles, chateaux and folk architecture<strong>.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Bohemian Paradise offers a wide range of possibilities for the active tourist.There is a large network of marked trails for hiking as well as paths for biking. The &#8220;rock towns&#8221; are the real paradise for the lovers of climbing. After the war on the White hill (1620), the castle became the property of Albrecht from Vald\u0161tejn and then used as a monastery. The original, modern castle was rebuilt by Petr from Vartemberka after 1370. It consists of Biberstein Palace, the black kitchen, Lobkovic house, Vartemberk Palace, Schellenberg Palace and Tower Palace. The castle is the property of the Kinsky family. The tower is in the shape of a rotating cone is 93m tall, designed by the architect Karel Hub\u00e1\u010dek. Nowadays it is used as a hotel, restaurant, tv-transmitter and also for its scenic views. If the weather is good it is possible to see Prague. The peak is reached by cable car, chairlift or walking; it is also accessible by car or motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>In winter there is the SKI CENTRE where you can try downhill skiing, cross country skiing and snowboarding.
